The Viva Cribb Local History Resource Room was officially opened on 21 July 2000. The room was named after Viva Cribb. Viva was the great granddaughter of Benjamin Cribb, founder of Cribb & Foote Department Store, established at Bell Street, Ipswich in 1849 as London Stores.
The purpose of the room is to ensure the preservation of information and resources specifically related to the history of Ipswich and the surrounding region for present and future generations.
